We are seeking a Relief Pre-School Teaching Assistant 
 
The German European School Singapore (GESS) is a multi-lingual, not-for-profit, German international school in Singapore with a distinct European flavour. As an accredited ‘Excellent German School Abroad’, the German Section of GESS offers all major German school leaving certificates. Our European Section offers tuition in English for students from grade 1 - 12 across all three IB programmes (the PYP, the MYP and the IB Diploma Programme) as an authorised IB World School. 
 

 Responsibilities:
  • To work in cooperation with the class teacher
  • Plan and prepare with class teacher activities in relation to classroom activities, portfolios and school events 
  • To take responsibility of class group as and when required
  • Ability to work with parents and other members of the school community
  • To be enthusiastic and passionate when working with children
 Requirements:
  • Be proficient in spoken & written communication and must have a good command of both the English & German Language as you will be expected to work with English and German speaking students
  • Have an engaging and charismatic disposition with a passion and talent to work with young children
  • Must have experience in teaching hands-on and inquiry lead approaches as well as in a play based curriculum
  • The ability to approach people in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Must demonstrate strong work ethics & possess a positive working attitude and be a great team player
  • Be flexible with your working hours, as our Relief Roles are to cover for staff on medical leave and other approved leave during the school year
