The German European School Singapore (GESS) is a multi-lingual, not-for-profit, German international school in Singapore with a distinct European flavour. As an accredited ‘Excellent German School Abroad’, the German Section of GESS offers all major German school leaving certificates. Our European Section offers tuition in English for students from grade 1 - 12 across all three IB programmes (the PYP, the MYP and the IB Diploma Programme) asan authorised IB World School. Children aged 18 months onwards can enroll in our Preschool where children are following the PYP programme in German-speaking, English-speaking or bilingual groups. In addition to an outstanding academic education, GESS strives to teach students community values such as respect, openness and inclusion. Currently, more than 1600 students are learning at GESS supported by more than 400 full time and part time academic and administrative staff members. In August 2018 GESS moved to Dairy Farm Road to a modern new school campus located in a popular residential area at the edge of Singapore’s largest nature reserve and with very good access to the public transport system.

  • To keep daily calendar and key date calendar and prioritize tasks and appointments of Head of PreSchool
  • To write letters, e-mails, minutes, PowerPoint presentations etc. as per request
  • To filter data and generate reports
  • To do translations German-English and vice versa
  • To organize and support conferences, events and meetings as advised by the Head of PreSchool
  • To answer/make phone calls as per request
  • To file any kind of correspondences and minutes after approval from Head of PreSchool
  • To support the Head of PreSchool’s work in general
  • To organize international business trips
  • To update and maintain filing
  • To cooperate closely with the PA’s of Senior Management and Board of Director’s
  • Excellent command of English and German language to liaise with German and English speaking colleagues, parents and students
  • Tertiary education in administrative or service-orientated fields/relevant experience
  • Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders and contacts of the school at all levels
  • Must demonstrate strong work ethics & possess a positive working attitude and be a good team player
  • Excellent organizational and communicational skills
  • Demonstrate the highest levels of honesty, integrity and professionalism
  • Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure and confidentiality
  • Relevant working experience and tertiary education in administrative or service-orientated fields
  • Open-mindedness to work in an international team
