Toddler and Pre-kindergarten Teaching Assistant (German Speaking classes)

Full-time – 36 hours per week 

We are seeking a Toddler and Pre-kindergarten Teaching Assistant – 18 months to 3 years old
(German Speaking classes)
 
Responsibilities:

  • To be enthusiastic and passionate when working with children, remaining alert and responsive to their needs and interests
  • To work in collabortion with the class teacher, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all children and families
  • To be responsible and accountable for the supervision of children in the Preschool at all times
  • Plan and prepare with the classroom teacher learning experiences which promote play, inquiry and cater for the holistic development of all children
  • To take responsibility of  the class group as and when required, working with individual and small groups of children, both spontaneously and in organsied learning experiences
  • Develop respectful and collaborative relationships with children, parents, colleagues and other members of the school community
  • Understand and work in accordance to the school policieis and procedures
Requirements:
  • Be proficient in oral & written communication, have a good command of both the English & German Language, however with German native level language skills
  • Have an engaging and charismatic dispostion with a passion and talent to work with young children
  • Must have experience in teaching hands-on and inquiry lead approaches as well as in a play based curriculum
  • The ability to approach people in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Must demonstrate strong work ethics & possess a positive working attitude and be a great team player
